The Heart Circle
The fourth path, the heart-circle has been set... This is one of the unique features of the Santa Rosa Labyrinth design, the heart-space... it correlates with the fourth chakra, the heart-chakra... and is approached from all four directions while walking the Santa Rosa design...
And now, even though the labyrinth is not yet complete... I can finally walk the inner four rings to the center... and oh does it feel good...
Here is David, working on the last half of the fourth circuit...
While I continue to cut bricks...
I found this extension that allows me to hold the brick without my hands being any where near the blade...
I can not even begin to tell you how relieved I am!!! So much relief that I've become bold enough to make fancy cuts...
And I've started filling in all the odd places were large gaps were to be found... and I'm finding other odd places to just let these irregularities be... for I can now see all of these little places where I could make even more intricate cuts, which makes the obsessive compulsive aspects of my personality crazy!!!!
So... this too becomes a meditation for me of just letting go and enjoying the irregularities and personality that is appearing as the labyrinth moves towards completion...
and can you believe that we have worked through that entire pile of bricks that made up the original labyrinth!!!! now we await the delivery of 770 more bricks to complete the outer three rings... but in the mean time... I can walk and walk to my heart's content...

This is certainly a cool project for you and David to work on this summer. I had no idea that this particular labyrinth held so much meaning with chakras. Very interesting, Lea. I can't wait to see the final piece! The top photo is especially lovely and mysterious.

beautiful
and the magic
in the walking
turning in
turning out
and now...
I am thinking
of a labyrinth
of words
taking
the stack
like the bricks
making curves
in and out
looking in
looking out
each step
magic

Your Labyrinth is coming along beautifully! You and David have accomplished so much in such a short period of time.
Love getting to see the progress! Thanks.
