World Labyrinth Day & Dragonfly Farms

The Labyrinth Society is sponsoring
World Labyrinth Day...
Walking As One at One...

Our backyard labyrinth will be open from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. If you are not near to join us, you can use the Worldwide Labyrinth Locator to find a labyrinth near you to walk, or you can draw your own finger labyrinth and join in where ever you are! Click HERE for instructions for making a three or seven-circuit classical labyrinth.

And then the next day...

on Sunday~May 3rd~
I will create a rainbow colored rope labyrinth in the beautiful willow circle at the Dragonfly Farms in Healdsburg, CA. The gardens and labyrinth will be open from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Come bring a picnic lunch and join us at one of the beautiful destinations in Sonoma County!

This Place...

This place...
whispering in my heart,
the longing to lie in the meadow
and become small again,
drinking deeply the smells of my youth,
the wild hills rolling out
from beneath me…
wild oaks,
wild sky and clouds galloping
through my heart and soul…
whispering prayers
always on the tip of my tongue,
adoration of all things beautiful,
sensual,
full of life
where the beat of my heart
dances with the song that no one can hear
but is listened for
with every fiber reaching for the night sky
praying…
that a star will fall into the palm of my hand...

Earth Day 2009

Precious sphere,
this earth we walk,
breathe,
swim,
climbing into the bones of our body,
reaching for the heart,
the fire of living
each day anew...



pausing to touch this path we walk
with appreciation and wonder...



the mystery of time spinning through space...

Faeries & Gnomes

Today...
was a day of surprises...
faeries showed up in our garden...

making crowns...

and daisy chain necklaces...

and tiny charms...

even the gnomes came out to see...

this day of April-bliss-faerie-gnome-surprises...

Spring Waking & Time

Sometimes...

I think about how the sun is shining here...



and snow is falling there...
where my dear friend and labyrinth colleague
Carol Posch Comstock lives and breathes
labyrinths, art, and beauty springing
from her heart and hands...

Can you find
the entrance to her labyrinth here in the snow???

I think about how we are all together now...
viewing this when we each do...
yet at the same time and all at different times...

And that entrance in the snow...
hidden in the sky falling now...
was bathed in sunlight last Spring...



and will be again,
when the earth shifts just a little more
and the season turns to the bathing light of Spring over there,
like it is here...
as we each step into the labyrinth of life...



finding ourselves just in time...

Strawberry Fields Forever

The first of our sweet peas have bloomed...

"Strawberry Fields" is their luscious name...



I wish you could come over and breath deeply
of their incredible scent...



My dear Ulla came and found me last week
and brought me this precious tiny strawberry teapot...



actually...
the tiny vase is from Ulla also...
how wonderful it is to have friends to treasure...
